After the great response to the abstract submission and the constant interest in the 19th German Congress for Health Services Research, we definitely want to organize the congress. Therefore, the congress team and the board of the German Network for Health Services Research decided, that the DKVF congress will take place digitally this year.
The 19th DKVF DIGITAL awaits the participants with an extensive and varied program. Even if we will lack personal encounters, the digital version offers new opportunities.
Registration for the 19th DKVF DIGITAL is now open for you. All further information on registration and the link to the registration system can be found here.
There will also be a late-breaking abstract submission for COVID-19 projects. We want to give projects, that have been intensely engaged with the impact of the COVID-19-pandemic on health care in the past few months, a place in our program. The submission phase will run from July 20th to August 10th. You can find all further details here.
We are excited and look forward to experiencing a digital congress with you for the first time, designing it with you and certainly learning for the future!
on behalf of the German Network for Health Services Research (DNVF), I would like to cordially invite you to the 19th German Congress for Health Services Research. This year's congress is marked by the corona pandemic, which will of course also determine the orientation of the congress. Due to the still existing risk of infection, the congress will for the first time be held as a digital congress. This format offers new opportunities for communication, which we have already experienced over the past few months, even if it does not replace personal exchange.
The COVID-19 pandemic will of course also determine the content of the congress, although we will not lose sight of the original motto "Access, quality and efficiency: international comparison and improvement of health care". Natasha Azzopardi-Muscat (WHO Regional Office for Europe) and Francesca Colombo (OECD) will be the plenary speaker for the the international plenary session on the first day. They will discuss, what European countries can learn from the crisis, especially with regards to health system assessment, and how these organizations have supported their member states. At the national plenary session on day two, we want to discuss with health care researchers currently working on COVID-19 projects, how health care research has changed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, meaning how research questions are brought up to us scientists, how we get data - and how we communicate with politics and the public.
We would also like to invite projects dealing with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on health service, to submit contributions in the late-breaking abstract submission from July 20 to August 10, 2020.
We are excited and looking forward to experiencing and designing a digital congress with you for the first time, and to learn for the future!
